PGC to launch Switcher Undergarment in April 2011

PGC Retail plan to enter the undergarment segment in April 2011 . In July 2010 , PGC acquired 51% of Stake in Europe based Swiss large brand Switcher Holdings SA . Switcher sells 7 million units for a population of 7.8 million people in Switzerland alone . With over 1150 Corporate Clients and 360 Stores and Corners , Switcher is the largest Leisure wear brand in Switzerland .

PGC marketing Switcher for nearly decade in India only with the knits style of Switcher for Switzerland now has announced its trial market launch of the new undergarment segment in Coimbatore . PGC targets Switcher undergarment to be present in over 200 counters as a trial in Coimbatore alone in 3 months . For the whole year of FY 12 , PGC plans to be present in over 1000 counters in South India alone with its Switcher Undergarment . Presently Switcher is sold largely in Northern India and very thinly present in South . With this undergarment Project , PGC plans to make Switcher well know in Southern India said Mr.Ramesh.N (GM PGC RETAIL INDIA ) .
